 Both the Municipal Firefighters' Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees and Municipal Police Officers' Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees meet:

General Information


Although the Municipal Firefighters' Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees and Municipal Police Officers' Pension Trust Fund Board of Trustees are two separate Boards, they meet at the same time and place and share an agenda and minutes.

Responsibilities 

The two boards are responsible exclusively for the administration and operation of their respective funds and oversee the financial integrity of the funds. 

Members

Each board consists of five trustees, two of whom are appointed by the City Commission, one of whom is nominated by the Board of Trustees, and two of whom are members of their respective employee system and elected by a majority of that system.

Terms for each board are two years. The Fire Pension Board is governed by Chapter 16, Article III, of the Code of Ordinances. The Police Pension Board is governed by Chapter 16, Article IV, of the Code of Ordinances. Members in both boards are required to file financial disclosures.
