The Ormond Beach Police Department is responsible for enforcing the laws of the State of Florida and the Code of Ordinances of Ormond Beach. The Department is a recognized leader on the state and national level.

Budget & Staff
The Department has an annual operating budget of approximately $7 million, with an authorized staff of about 67 sworn officers and 25 civilian personnel.

House Watch Program
The Ormond Beach Police Department endeavors to give citizens that little extra sense of security, even when they are away from home.  Through the House Watch program, citizens may call 386-677-0731 or come into the Ormond Beach Police Department whenever they are planning vacations or events that take them away from home.  A brief questionnaire will be completed, which will include emergency contact numbers and any caretaker information.  During the homeowner's absence, periodic checks will be made to look for any unusual activity. The homeowner then contacts the Police Department upon their return to cancel this service.

The Ormond Beach Police Department hopes to reduce crashes that stem from impaired drivers by aggressive traffic enforcement for those drivers that are under the influence of intoxicants that can impair their judgment and driving.
