History as City Commissioner
Rick Boehm was elected to the City Commission for Zone 3 in November 2010.
Education & Work History
Commissioner Boehm received a Bachelor of Science in History and Government from Florida State University, and earned a Juris Doctor with honors from Florida State University in 1975.
Commissioner Boehm was the Managing Partner of Boehm, Brown, Fischer, Harwood, Kelly and Scheihing P.A., a multi-city insurance defense law firm. He started the firm in Daytona Beach in 1976. He retired from the active practice of law in 2013.
He was board certified in civil trial law and workers compensation, as well as, a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator. He was a Martindale-Hubbel "AV" rated attorney for over 25 years.
Commissioner Boehm served on the Leisure Services Advisory Board from 2004 - 2010. He was its Chairman from 2007 - 2010. He was an Ormond Beach Goodwill Ambassador from 2008 - 2010. In 2009, he served as vice-chairman of the City Manager Search Committee. He is a past chairman of Ormond Beach Pop Warner and Ormond Beach Youth Basketball Association. He is the Commission representative on the Ormond Beach MainStreet Board (2012-present). Commissioner Boehm also is a member of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce and its Economic Prosperity Committee (2009 - present). He is also a member of Citizens for Ormond Beach (2010 - present).
He and his wife, Delia have been married for over 30 years and have three children.
